	<atom:link href="http://www.glasambru.com/feed/" rel="self" type="application/rss+xml" />

	<description>This blog/ podcast is part of GLASAMBRU, the name of composer Cluny Strachan\&#039;s online broadcast, and performance production platform.

Cluny creates audio visual forms which hyper-dimensionalise situation, language, and the inter-relationships inherent in, and between media.

This broadcast platform presents these multimedia dialogues by way of original approaches to programme making, and the production of episodes as parts of series. Running in parallel these series center around works for orchestra, opera as multimedia performance, and various works for ensemble with unusual instrumental combinations, and visual, or staged elements.</description>

<p>This is a first edit of &#8216;Dezhou, megaphone&#8217;, works for symphony orchestra, which evolve juxtaposing individual elements of material that have been written independently from each other, using different reference sources, and approaches to style, genre and instrumentation, embodying different emotional, and situational states, and pre-recorded or audio visually manipulated environment.</p>
<p>It is part of an on going production of work that deals with relationships between non narrative forms, and context. It develops audio visual communicative forms which hyper-dimensionalise situation, language, and construct. It is built out of non representational inter-relationships inherent in and between media. Its juxtapositional dialogues deal with an understanding of communication akin to postmodern poetry, where language constructs consciousness. <span id="more-160"></span></p>
<p>My work is a sort of play on how we absorb information, what that information is, and how we interpret it. I am throwing de-contextulized materials together as a way of building different kinds of interesting dynamicisms which re-define story, and reorganize their textual, subtextual and descriptive properties to create a &#8216;hyper conscious reality&#8217;, where function and meaning are subverted, and where story re-materializes in away that somehow reveals their otherwise un-described properties.</p>

This is a first edit of 'Dezhou, megaphone', works for symphony orchestra, which evolve juxtaposing individual elements of material that have been written independently from each other, using different reference sources, and approaches to style, genre and instrumentation, embodying different emotional, and situational states, and pre-recorded or audio visually manipulated environment.

I am throwing de-contextulized materials together as a way of building different kinds of interesting dynamicisms which re-define story, and reorganize their textual, subtextual and descriptive properties to create a 'hyper conscious reality', where function and meaning are subverted, and where story re-materializes in away that somehow reveals their otherwise un-described properties.
